What are the system requirements?
With Docker: any operating system that supports Docker. For manual installation: any OS where PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Redis can run. We recommend at least 2GB RAM and 10GB storage for small teams.
Which installation method do you recommend?
We recommend installation via docker-compose. This is the easiest and most reliable method.
Does PLANKA support Single Sign-On (SSO)?
Yes — single sign-on over OpenID Connect (OIDC) is part of PLANKA Pro and works with providers such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta and others. The Community edition has no SSO.
How does real-time synchronization work?
PLANKA uses WebSocket connections to provide instant updates across all connected users. Changes are synced in real-time without page refresh.
Can I customize the branding?
Yes, PLANKA Pro allows you to customize the logo, application name, and login page to match your organization's branding.
Does PLANKA run in a network without internet access?
Yes. PLANKA Pro otherwise checks the licence online; where that is not possible there is an offline licence key. It is issued for your hostname and needs no outbound connection afterwards. From ten regular users you will find it in the customer center under 'View keys'; for smaller licences we issue it on request. One thing to know: using the offline key gives up the possibility of a refund for the current billing period.
